IL- Chicago/60640 - Walk And Run For Wishes - Sun 9/15/13

The Midwest Garrison and Nar Shaddaa Base were invited to take part in the Walk-And-Run for Wishes by Make-A-Wish again this year! This was our second year as participants and we were a huge hit again this year!

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us this year as it rained the entire time drenching everyone. Soaked costumes and clothes didn't deter our troopers or the walkers as everyone was in high spirits!

We took photos with the families present and some wonderful wish recipients! We even ran into two kids dressed as Darth Vader and an entire team dressed in Star Wars costumes!

All in all, this was a wonderful event with great people and great troopers! We were told that they'd love to have us back again next year!

I'd like to thank Steve for representing the Nar Shaddaa Base at this event and Chris for coming out to suit up and assist! More importantly, I'd like to extend my deepest gratitude to the troopers for walking around in the rain and NEVER complaining about it or their costumes. It was professionalism at its finest!

The event raised $156,654 and each trooper trooped for 4 hours!
