rubber gloves, easy off, strippers WOW what a thread
have you tried the 3m plastic polish? It might work.
If you use easyoff (or any caustic chemicals, paints) go to a home center and buy a double cartridge respirator mask. They are usually around $25 or less and can help save your lungs, or at least keep ya from coughing up nasty stuff for a week.
should look similar to this

All right, look, there's only one "Return," okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi!

Hobby stores carry a product called ELO...(easy lift off)
which is essentually a brakefluid and Goo-Gone mix.It is expensive as ELO but brakefluid woorks very good for getting paint off of most types of plastic without harming the plastic. use a paint brush to brush it on...let it sit overnight and was it off with dish soap and a toothbrush the next day... As with all stripping chemicals try a small amount on an unseen area first just to be sure it wont harm the plastic... I have never used it on ABS but I have used this method on most other types of plastic involved in scale models and model railroading!!!

Actually what you should do is get yourself some "Dawn Powerscrub"......no lie...I have used the stuff to strip all kinds of paint off of plastic..... spray the stuff on and let it sit overnight. scrub the paint off with a tootbrush or similar soft bristle brush and then reapply as need to get the stubborn stuff off. Best part is you do not have to wear a mask since the stuff is not caustic.....its not just for dishes kids.

Steve!!!
The Dawn stuff is working great! I have 2 Jangos that I have spent hours and hours wetsanding....the Dawn is the way to go. I wish I would have known about this months ago! I applied the stuff this morning and the helmets are now just about bare. That stuff works great. It's also springtime fresh!!!

"oh the pain, the pain."
Hokay here's the thing that leaves you scratching your head...I was working on a project for the Veterans Hospital display case recently and I needed to touch up the paint on the national insignia with some blue...well the only blue I had was enamel based (I usually only use acrylics) anyway I don't have any brush cleaner so I grab the wife's nail polish remover thinking that it will do the trick and clean the brush.....suffice to say it did nothing to remove the paint from the brush (made it a gacky mess actually) so I figured I give the power dissolve a shot being a little pressed for time and not wanting my favorite sable finetip brush being ruined...well the dish cleaner cleaned the sticky wet paint better than the brush cleaner I've used in the past........kinda makes you wonder just what the heck your using on the dishes you eat off of to get em clean
