ANOVOS TK ARMOR introduction workshop

Post by gazmosis »

Hello future TK's!!
As it is well known, ANOVOS has offered an incredible deal regarding their line of film accurate TK armor at a can't miss price. I have also seen many people jump on this offer....and who wouldn't!!??
As an officer in the FISD and consultant to many, it has been both an honor and privilege to assist people in helping their TK dreams come true. Many have contacted me about the Anovos armor already as was expected. As much as I want to help everyone, I am but one guy. Regardless of the price, assembling this armor can be both nerve racking and intimidating. Knowledge here is POWER.

I would like to see if people would be interested in a one day workshop to introduce to you what is all involved with assembling this armor. I will cover everything and answer all questions. Please post here if you would like something like this to be made available.
In the meantime, If you are to build this armor, whether accuracy is your concern or not, you NEED to sign up over at FISD http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/ You will have access to view important threads regarding materials you will need: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/3 ... -tk-build/ Accessories you will need to obtain:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/4 ... cessories/ , tips and tricks:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/4 ... -painting/ Blasters: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/116-blastech-e11/but most of all, you will need to become familiar with the features of your armor kit. Although none of us have yet to see it, your kit will be EXTREMELY similar to these screen accurate armor types: Troopermaster(TM) and RS PROPS. Become familiar with these armors and the parts and it will go much easier!! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/8 ... d-threads/http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/8 ... d-threads/.

UPDATE!!! The top meeting room at the Joliet Library has been reserved for us. The date is SATURDAY, AUGUST 29, 2015. 10AM-2PM[/b] We are not allowed to have food or refreshments in the meeting room, but I will see if perhaps we can use another room to order sandwiches or other refreshments for a break.
All I ask for people to bring is a notebook to take notes in. We will be covering every part of the armor and I will answer any/all questions you may have regarding history, methods, etc.....

I'm in too. I've done many AFX over the years and owned a GF (was already assembled). I think I've got an idea about how it all will come together but would love to get together, talk it out, and help others too. Maybe we could record some or all of it for those who can't make it :)

Great idea,
Phil!
As for where it will be held is still to be determined. I wanted to see who would respond to see if something like this would even be warranted. After a bit, I will update the main thread post and choose a location. It might not be the most popular location, but if enough people are interested, maybe I can do a northern and a southern workshop.

Steve,

If you need help with this, let me know. Since I have built TK's, movie Clones, RMQ TROOPERS and now TFA's I can sure lend a hand.

I'm in!!

I purchased mine on May 4th and got it at the sweet price of $350.00 from ANOVOS... and I got the kit so I was wondering how I would put this all together once I get it since it wasn't a complete kit...

If your at a place in IL I can travel too let me know... If you need a space where we can meet up I have my photography studio (In Chicago) it is a good size probably can accommodate 50 people sitting closely together.

FYI.. mine won't get to me till winter of 2015.

Best Regards,
Joe

Well, since these kits won't be going out until sometime around Christmas we have a lot of time to plan for this.

Well, I think the interest in this type of workshop speaks for itself. Give me a bit to work out where you are all coming from for me to decide on a location.
