new RL member wanting to troop w/ MWG

Post by crix »

HI guys. I pretty new to the Rebel Legion. I am a Rebel pilot. I was looking at all the events and it seems that 501st gets a lot more request than the RL. I was wondering how this works? Can I just confirm that I can go to the events posted here? or do I have to ask if its a 501st only?
I dont want to be a "troop crasher". I was hopeing someone could give me some pointers.

thanks guys
crix

Welcome, Crix! :welcome:

Usually the only time that it is 501st only is if the "request" comes in that way. I don't think there have been many events out there that the RL hasn't been ok to come out for. :D

If the event request comes in as 501st only, the event coordinator should/would post it as such on the first post of the event thread.

Otherwise...bring on the Rebels!
:P

Nice. Can you post some pics of your costume. I always love to see how you rebels paint up your helmets.

Heres my x-wing pilot cosutme. My helmet is just the don post one. I going to get a new helmet(kit). Was planing on getting one last month, but I am not working as much anymore, so I better wait a little while. I going to paint it black and blue to match Sqaudow squadron of the Reble legion.

Thats cool, thanks. I really want to do a rebel pilot but I want to get my hands on a aph-6b flight helmet and conversion kit first without breaking the bank. Needless to say I'm taking my time.

About a month ago there were two on ebay that I think ended up going for around $200 but I had just bought my new helmet so I couldn't afford to try.

Greetings Crix,

and welcome to the MWG.. You have a great X-wing costume there my friend. if and when you decide to get some armor let us know we'll be more than happy to help you out.

Whinter is right though, most of our events are non-501st which pratically means you can come on board.

You should have access to the event planning board you can check there and see what events are coming that you might be interested in. I would say to check in with the event coordinator to make sure it's ok for you to come in X-wing gear.

otherwise, Welcome Aboard trooper!
