Hi

Post by Remo »

My name's Mike and I'm from the Chicago burbs. I'm in the process of putting together a sandtrooper and I can't wait till I can finally get involved.
I have a couple of questions
1) Can a not-yet member be involved with any of the activities? I hang out with some of my friends as they troop at Wizard World Chicago, but I mean in an active role?

2) I was going through the ID numbers (on the main 501st site) and seeing how many members they had. Let's say you are TK-421, does that number stay with you for any other costume you have. Would it be BH-421 or as a hunter would you get a different number for that costume?
Would 5 digit numbers be allowed for an ID since it looks like it's getting to the point where all other 3 and 4 digit numbers are filled.
Thanks,

You can hang out all you like if they want you around.

Yes, your number stays with you for life and it is used for all of your Legion costumes.

With around 6000 active and inactive members there are still about 4000 numbers to choose from.

Oh boy...

We leave the front door open and look what wanders in...

:P

I will have to say that I`m responsible for Mike being here. He`s been our "costume support" guy for the last 3 years at WW Chicago and he`s caught the costuming bug. He does have top notch Sand Trooper armor that he is working on, and I know that he is doing everything possible to get it done so he can be official sometime soon.

Welcome to the madness Mike..

I've got "523" all locked up, can't answer your question about trooping though but it looks like Mike (TK895) got it for you. I might be at WW, but I will more likely be at the Normal Illinois "Relay for Life", as I think they are both on the same weekend.

:welcome: Mike!

You have about 4 months before Wizard World to work on finishing your costume.

Get busy! We'll look forward to trooping with you.
