Could use a Star Wars hug

Post by G-force1 »

Last week , was like Death Star exploding. My son had strep throat, daughter got hurt at work, then tub drain got plugged. Least to say what money I had saved back for armor just got blown out. Called a plumber that cost extra being Memorial Day weekend. Drain is fixed, kids are getting better, and I'm heart broken again. Sometimes I think I'm not meant to be a costumer, everything wrong seems to find me. Despite always feeling up from all u fans and from a mentor (Mark Berry) if have lost a lot of hope of realizing my dreams. Perhaps I'm meant to just see from the sides.

Hang in there! Sounds like a crappy week, but today is Monday and its a new week and new month. Those were temporary setbacks, you'll get your costume. :)

I hope your son and daughter are better.

What costume are you saving up for?

I'm thinking storm trooper or mandalorian.

Cool choices. Have you done some research as to what's involved in sourcing parts for each? That might help you pick between the two.

Through other local garrison members have showed me some websites to look at. But with only my phone I can't bring many of them. One of the mercs, sent a website information about templates but it wouldn't open on my phone have to wait to get to a computer to hopefully open a site. Looked at storm trooper armor on Anovos , which was suggested by Mark Berry, but once again I have financial issues. But if there's a way to work for credit I'm up for it. Was able to take a short quick trip to Joliet this weekend, just went for fun to see everyone. Didn't buy anything but had a great time talking taking pictures and just dreaming about what I'm missing out on.

It sounds like you have your goal set, and I know once you overcome these obstacles and reach it you'll be one of the most appreciative 501st members out there!

You were in Joliet? So was I, in my TK armor. I was the right hand TK escorting Han Solo in carbonite; then I spent much of the time after the parade right outside the Rebel Museum.

It was a great time at Joliet. I'm sorry I didn't get around to chat with u. Your escort brought back memories from Empire, it looked just like the scene with the carbonite. Next time I'll have to chat more with others, but we couldn't stay long we had to get to Canton, since our kids were home. I appreciate all the advise and help from u and everyone else offering suggestions. I've been to the Peoria Chiefs game this year also , there I got to meet in person Mark Berry, Jake Townsend, Pete Murfin, and Nicole Vanordeer. I enjoy going out and just watching as u all spread cheer and have good time with everyone.

To the hit an, no I'm sorry I didn't get to see light saber fights. I did have a great time , took a lot of pictures, and saw some awesome people and some really cool costumes. I recently went to the zoo in Peoria Illinois, for Star Wars day, another great event even I felt like a kid. So want to do some trooping. But a
I'll just have to settle being on sidelines.

I did manage to get video of the duels. This first link is to the very first one we did in the early afternoon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cy74h5Anyo
This second one (currently uploading) if from my point-of-view as vader: http://youtu.be/CLyhbV1iQp4
