The Cantina

Post by MusicTrooper »

Hi,

On my last visit to these forums,

I remember posting a thread to the Cantina about TK numbers,

now, even when I research my own posts, this forum/thread seems to be not available,

any help on this?

much thanks

Ed

I think they are reorganizing the forums a bit. As to why it was moved where it is now I have no clue, but rest assured your posts are still there,

That's right, hitman. The MWG forums are undergoing some reorganization. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, but we're trying to streamline things and get everything consolidated and organized more intuitively.
In the mean time, remember the words of the Guide: DON'T PANIC!

Much thanks for the info,
and
keeping lines of communication open.

I had started a thread in The Cantina,
about TK numbers, where I was hopeful of learning more about
how this system is being organized, now that the 501st is almost out of 4-digit numbers.

Should I wait for the forum re-organization to be completed,
or
should I start a new thread here in this forum?

ok :-)

I will wait a bit.

I am hopeful, that where ever my original cantina thread is,
that I am not responding to any posts there,
because I no longer have access to it.

Just staying in touch,

with only 27 numbers to go, at about 1 per day,
more should be known soon, I hope :-)

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm

only 3 numbers to go at this time according to the info at 501st.com

and

the only application still reads,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You choose a 4-digit Legion identification number. Please supply five separate choices in order of preference. Legion ID numbers are assigned in order of membership approval and it is possible that your first choice could be taken by the time of your costume approval
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so, complying with "five separate choices"

seems wrong at this time.

I was hopeful, for more pro-active organization concerning this situation,

Perhaps, I am just missing something.

at the banquet last friday in orlando they said that they have to rewrite the code for the member database & forum so the 2 systems can work together with 5 numbers. until everyone gets back home from dragon con there will be a short (hopefully) suspension of taking new applications until the code can be fixed.

As of right now, the database has maxed out at 9999 approved members. Hitman is right; now we're being held up by the fact that the web guys have to re-write the database code before we can get any more members on board. Nobody's applications are getting lost, but we are moving as fast as we can to get past this choke-point.

I'm sorry if the information hasn't gotten to you or if we haven't been pro-active enough for your tastes, but PLEASE remember that Legion Officers (and Garrison Officers, for that matter) are all totally unpaid volunteers. We put as much time into running the organization as we can, but we all do have real lives, paying jobs, families, and other obligations that demand our attention on a day-to-day basis. This isn't really my department, but (for example), my house got entirely flooded last Sunday night. I have to deal with that. And yes, it might mean that some Legion PR business has to take a back seat for a day or two. I hope that that's understandable (he says, surrounded by fans and dehumidifiers trying to dry out the water under the floorboards).

Like I've said, please be patient. We'll get it taken care of as quickly and painlessly as possible, and once we're past this milestone, we should all be good to go, all engines full. :)
