Hello MWG,

My name is Matt. I had met River today at ComicCon and asked what is the process on joining and explained that i have a suit in progress. He had asked me to post somethings about myself so here we go.

Im 25, I manage a retail business (blockbuster). I am also a former cancer patient having leukemia during my junior year in high school. i am very fortunate to be alive thanks to my sister with her perfect bone marrow match. i had stayed at Chicago's Chidrens's Memorial on/off intensively for 6 months. Hearing all these stories and always wondering how can i give back and help and put smiles on faces. This is the way.

Curt Stanfill, the CO of the 70th explorer's garrison was telling me that i need to get into the 501st since i am and avid Star Wars fan. So here i am.

Welcome aboard trooper! thanks for making it to the boards. As I had mentioned before, we are a helpful bunch and we will be more than willing to work with you.

In might interest you to know that we just had our very first troop at Children's Memorial and we're slating to have more. our resident "Flash Gordon" AKA: PQ Higgins pretty much helms that arena. so once your armor is done, you can start 'paying back' and helping a lot of kids have fun and put smiles on their faces.

trust me, once you finish and do your first troop, you won't to stop. It' gets in your blood or something, I dunno.

Welcome to the madness That is the Midwest Garrison. Take a look at the wealth of costumes members have created and choose one you would like to work on. River and Cheryl who you probably met are in charge of matching up newcomers with members who will help you get there.

GO to the Legion Homepage and there you will view the Legion Membership Stats. You'll be able to view most of the costumes.

If you want to enter the "Black" visit the Deadliest Pilots in the Galaxy, The Jolly Roger Squadron. And yes its a shameless plug for our gateway costume. The flight suit you make for your TIE, will make your first costume, Imperial Crewman (Off duty TIE), Imperial Gunner and Biker Scout not to mention, the TIE.

Welcome. I used to manage at some BBVs back in the '90's. I sure miss those 5 free rentals a week....plus the extra rentals from not yet released films.

BTW What suit do you have in progress?

right now im working on a stormtrooper suit. i had stripped off all the old paint on the suit since the gentlemen that i had bought it from didnt do the greatest.
