WHoo wee that gun is probably about as tall as me! I saw one on another pic that was about 64 inches long.....I though I wouldn't be able to hold the thing let alone fire it...

I think I'll stick with the StormTrooper armor. I'd need a wagon to carry my weapon!!!!!!

:D

I am only 5' 4"
but it can be done...

although...and I hate to admit this...I only wear my TK when absolutely necessary....as I am self conscious about my "shortness" when there are taller Stormies around....

but there are a lot of us short TK's.....and most aren't as intimidated as I am...

Hi Schph Gochi

Thank you for the post. :D Don't let your height get you down, and wear your armor proudly.

My biggest problem is trying to find armor and a helmet to fit me. I have found two people who make armor that may be able to help make it to fit but it's the price is whats hard for me .... I've been picking up pop and beer cans at our local parks and saving my quarters. I also make ferret sleep sacks and ferret hammocks for a pet shop and I have nearly $170 already.

Was it easy to modify your armor and helmet to fit you?

You may want to PM Terrell78 and tell him about your ferret items. A few months ago he organized a charity event here in Michigan for the Motor City Ferrets. He may be interested, or have some contacts for you over here in our neck of the woods.

Welcome aboard and good luck with the armor.

You can contact Nanci at Motor City Ferrets http://www.motorcityferrets.org. She lets folks sell their goods at her place on consignment and she doesn't take a cut. She may also be able to put you in contact with a local ferret shelter to help sell your stuff.

Oh yeah, we have some VERY die hard fans here in Ottawa!!!!!!!! One guy I heard about has his entire BASEMENT FULL of Star Wars stuff. THey did an articule on him in our local paper and even I was shocked at all the stuff he had!!!!

Things were a bit hectic, and I wanted to stay and visit but I could see you all had your hands full, so my daughter and I left and didn't get a chance to come back........ BTW were the people that were in the Vader costume, Emperor Palpatine and Boba Fett costumes from the Midwest Garrison too? I like the Vader costume it was well done,as the Fett one was too.

I have a question for you tho. What was your tunic made from? It was an interesting fabric I hadn't seen before.

Hi Terrel78,

I left a message on their voice mail about the products I make and sell at a local pet shop here. I don't make a lot of them as we have few ferrets but I have sold some. But I have made some for my 5 furkids, Smokey, Bandit, Bear, Lily Possum, and Baby Girl, our rescued ferret......

Thanks again and I'll let you know if she calls me back.

The Fett was Augie...and he is a member of the 501st and the Rebel Legion...

The Vader is one of your local guys...his name is Tim...and I am now trying to recruit him.... :D

The Palpatine was Tim's friend who comes out to help Tim get dressed...

Here are a few photos from the event:

http://new.photos.yahoo.com/schphgochi/ ... 2401035662

We had a great time!

My tunic is made from Osnaberg...which is a really inexpensive fabric and it is 100% cotton...I love Osnaberg (Osnaburg?) because it gets softer the more you wash it.....and I think it looks like a good fabric for any "working class" Jedi...
Osnaberg is readily available (in the utility fabric section) of Joanne's fabrics...and is often available at Wal-Mart....

There is tutorials and Jedi stuff here:
http://www.thejediassembly.com/

Hi Terrel78,

I wanted to let you know that I never heard back from this lady at MotorCityFerrets.com and I don't know what happened.

But! I did save enough money from recycling cans, saving quarters only, and making ferret beds in my local area petshop and I purchased some armor! I also saved cans this weekend and won a StormTrooper blaster on Ebay!

I will take some pics of my armor when I get it as the person making it for me is almost done.

I am so excited!

I know I can't wait to get it and see it.

THe Blaster is a Hasbro one I hope to modify to be like an E-11. I have seen kits on Ebay to do it. Has any one else done thins and is it easy to do?

I have seen some very good hasbro-mods with those kits,
especially if you weight the handle down a bit they even feel pretty authentic.
Lisa in the Central Garrison has one that looks and feels great,
I thought at first that it was a Master Replicas E-11.

Oh and as to your question ealier about Sandies Vs. Stromies,
Sandies have different ab plates, knee plates and they wear pauldrons
(though some of us Stormies wear them too cause they look freak'n sweet, even though they aren't technically "Canon")
and ventialtor packs,
and I don't think the "big gun" is a requirement, though they do look impressive.

Thanks for explaining that to me.

THats why I was glad to get the Hasbro Blaster since I am so small and short. I wouldn't be able to carry a big one!
