My epIII
Thanks I have Light brown and black weathering on the armor but due to the photo you cant see it .If you enlarge the pix and play with the tint you could see it better.Sands wrote:Work on your weathering and you will be all good.

ok couple of questions,
1. where did you get the bucket, it appers 'different' to me.
2. (just an observation) The chest armor should go over the ab armor and your thighs look a little small. but hey if you have great range of motion then more power to ya.
I can't complain too much as my thighs limit my leg stride.
The EPIII helmet came out great, are you coming to the armor party on saturday? I can see about bringing my weathering kit and show you how i do it?

My epIII clone
River, the bucket is now weathered that is why you might think it looks different.
What is the location of the party? Sunday? I have a huge party at my place this Sat night I don't think I can make it Sunday.
The armor is an older set and with a football chest 49"I have stretched it as far as I could, with sides etc. and a 38" waste so I had to taper it ,very hard.!!! This type of armor was a old style EPII and has a short mid section like in the original movie, so it did not extend beyond the bottom of the chest piece. I have another clone epII helmet but I made it in to a Rex.
I will try to take better pix so I can get approved.
Thanks to every one that made comments!!!

Re: My epIII clone
Maybe a strap with a heavy snap could help with the ab and chect. I had to do that with my FX armor.Richiestix wrote:River, the bucket is now weathered that is why you might think it looks different.

MM a snap ?[with a piece of material like leather?] would that keep me from being able to rotate my waste and chest? Tell me more???

I will take a pic of my armor on Saturday. Rob's idea was glue a short strap in the middle top of the ab with a snap at the end. Then glue the other part of the snap(male part) under the chest peice. This will keep the chest peice up and over the top part of the abs. Make sure you use heavy duty snaps. You will see what I'm talking about when I post the pics.

What I meant, in regards to the helmet was, what 'is' your EPII helmet? is it a kelloggs, EFX, MR, etc. etc. it looks like a kelloggs helmet. the face looks real flat.
Otherwise, the armor looks fine. I understand the chest vs. waist issue. Let Sandman show you those pics, should help in that arena, otherwise I think everything looks correct.
