That is what I was afraid some one would say......But if it's a good helmet and it's worth the money I'll have to save up and get one!SL2280 wrote:RT and AP are names of other armor types/makers other then the big FX stuff. Thank you for the information!

Don't use the Leia pattern, it is very inaccurate. Here's a link to the best way to make the Leia dress: http://leiacostuming.stormtrooperprince ... sion2.html

The 16 year old is kind of proud of me at home but still thinks it's dumb to wear costumes... I just wait for Halloween.(Even tho I don't believe in it). it's the only day I can dress up & no one thinks twice about it.

No, that is Ethan Phillips the the actor who played Neelix from ST:Voyager. He's not in his costume, because the waredrobe people took it off so the actors could take their break. The rest is the cast from ST:Voyager Robert Duncan McNeill, Garrett Wang & Robert Picardo.badmommy wrote:I had no idea of who that was in the pic Kathy until I recognize Quincy...is that short haired blonde you?????
I was mortified that Quincy was going to spazz out on the set, but she was amazingly well-behaved.

Wow you did a fantastic job on these and they look professional......
That was nice you got to go on the Set of Voyager and got to meet the actors on the show. I have the Neelix cook book and the recipies are great.
i would like to see more pics of the costumes you have made. These are great!!!
BTW, I got permission from the guy on Ebayer to let the Rubies helmet go since he agreed it may be a bit big for me. I was cruising around on Ebay for some Stormtrooper kits and there werent many on thier I could afford with out saving up for the next year....I did see one on there last week for $400 but i didn't book mark it. He said his StormTrooper costumes would fit any one from 5 foot 2 to 5 foot 7. He said the armor could be cut down for a shorter person. I could kick myself for not bookmarking the guys name!!!

Ok Iwent back on Ebay and found the auction of the guy that makes StormTrooper armor kits. It says his armor can fit some one from 5'0" to 5'7". The only problem I have is that he wants $650 for it all. It will take me a while to save that up and get that for myself. It says the armor is suitible for trooping in the 501st.
DARN! I forgot to write down his name on eBay to put on here. I wanted you guys opinion on the armor and if you know the person. I only remember the first numbers of his user name and it's 333.
Ill go back and look it up. BRB...

Welcome to the MWG!!!
And welcome to the Dad's Who Costume Club!!! lol I have three boys, 12, 10 and 6, and fortunately I am still in the "cool" column (I'm working on my wife, but hey). It's funny to watch my 12 yr old when he has friends over, who happen to see my TK helmet sitting on top of my tub. It's always "WHOOAAAA cooooool. Is it real?" yada yada yada. Now at work it's a different story...there you definitely have to be careful how you broach the subject of explaining the difference between a Gino bucket versus a TE2...you WILL get nervous stares...
It's so cool though, when you connect with someone...and their eyes light up with that "oh man I always wanted to own a set of that armor..." and you look at em and think "me too."
Again, welcome welcome welcome. And if you have any tips on dealing with your embarrassed kids, let me know. Something tells me that the coolness may wear off in a few years...lol

Thanks guys for the information. I thought that was a bit much for the armor but if it's the only way I can get it then so be it. I have family that are pretty handy at downsizing stuff. But if there is some one here that can point me in the direction where I can get it at a smaller price I would be grateful! (My smaller wallet would thank you too!)
I have my youngest daughters friends see my Don Post Vader helmet that has been refurbished on my TV stand and they get all bug eyed about it.
Oh, I almost forgot, what is the diffrence between a SANDTROOPER and a STORMTROOPER??

One more thing...my comp has just been brought back from near oblivion from a Trojan Horse virus, but it still has a few quirks in it. If I'm suddenly not on here for a while it may be a computer problem and I'm not avoiding you all.
Every time my comp has a problem I think it's being invaded. I have 2 diffrent virus guards and also a Spyware and fire wall on this thing. I hope that will work for catching the things that need to be out!
