Progress Report!
Everything is coming along swiftly! I've got everything from the neck down finished, though I'm still waiting on my Rendance body glove (delayed a week for reasons unknown) and my neck seal exchange (first one was too tight) to come back from TrikToys. (Oddly, by accident or nefarious design, there was also a disaster at the seamstresses' shop where my GF is getting her Leia Senator dress, so that's been delayed as well -- darn lucky I started planning way ahead of halloween this year!). And my voice amp should be showing up today or tomorrow.

I've finally gotten my warped-ass bucket assembled, too. So my next step is installing lenses, slapping on some decals, getting on the unibrow, the ears, mouth mesh, and the lower helmet trim. And whatever that black piece is down in the front -- when I was a kid, I figured it was the 'mouth' but I know better now! Wire in the mic, polish her up and I should be good to Troop!

Update Update! I was just about to post when our mail guys here showed up with my voice amp and mic. Sweet!

Fully Armed & Operational

Post by Fleetfang »

Hey all,
Just dropping an update here. My armor is complete! I've sent in my registration and photos, so now it should just be a matter of time while the good folks in the Imperial Security Bereau check and double-check my credentials.

But with my TK done, I suddenly find myself thinking about what I'll turn my attention to next... ID? TI? TB? IG?... So! Many! Options!

well you could always do a crewman, that way you're half way to TI and IG.

the cool thing about the IC is its a gateway costume. like 8114 said, it can do TIE, gunner, death star trooper, the list goes on!

Great idea, 8114 and TDK! You too, Doughboy... though I think there's a better Fleet for this 'Fang to join. :) If my plan to get the GF involved pans out, she should be able to join the Rebel Legion before I do -- Unless I'm mistaken, Juno Eclipse is one of those rare characters that goes both ways. [nudge nudge wink wink say no more!]

I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but I'll do a little poking around the TI, IC, and IG detachment websites. Of course, if any of you fine troopers have a preferred outfitter for flight suits, I'm all ears!

Fleet' out.

Thanks RDB! It's good to be official. :tksmilie:
Sure, once I decided to finally break ground on it, yeah, maybe it came together fast, but don't let that fool ya!

I got my kit from TK-585 a long time ago in a Wal-Mart parking lot far, far away. It was back in 2005, just before RotS came out. I promptly ran out of expendable cash and tabled the armor until I thought that I could afford boots and an undersuit. Then I got heavily involved in the RPGA's Living Greyhawk campaign, eventually rising thorugh the ranks to become an author on about half of the Verbobonc region (Illinois & Indiana)adventures for 2008, the final year of the campaign. Then I kind of drifted around without a major nerd obsession for the past year or so. ...And here I am!

Of course, when I jump into something I go all out, so don't expect me to be going anywhere any time soon! I don't have the funds to do every costume I'd like, but I'll definitely be as involved with the Garrison as I can.

Pictures pictures pictures... Ack! How do I post pictures here?! How??
Here's a link to a Facebook album... maybe that will help? can y'all see this?
