Thanks guys! Amiee I don't mind at all sharing the story.
I got pulled over by an East Peoria police officer who claimed I ran a red light. I was out in the middle of the intersection and because of the car ahead of me, I wasn't able to turn until it was red. To say the least I was ready to argue. He asked me if the car I was driving was mine. I let him know that it was. We have a 501st Imperial Academy sticker on the back windshield. He totally shocked me when he said that because I was 501st he'd let me go. Turns out that he's an inactive member and he has 3 costumes: Stormtrooper, Biker Scout, and Snow Trooper. I was so excited to hear of another member being so close, that I flipped out my phone and started showing him pictures of past events right there! I asked him to become more involved again but he said that his work schedule is too demanding right now. Mark and I aren't going to give up on him. We are thinking of going to the East Peoria PD and try to get him to contact us. He's a really cool guy. I went on Rebel Scum.com and saw his Star Wars collection. His name is Roger Wilsdorf.
I'm still amazed that my affliation with the 501st got me out of a ticket. I was proud before, I'm honored now.
