Merc OM Starting a 501st Costume
Hey folks,
I'm Paul/Cyra from Naperville. I'm a Mando Mercs Nexu Clan OM and have had the opportunity to meet a bunch of 501st members over the last few months. I've started work on an Imperial Line Officer costume, with the base being from Cossky. Short of some tailoring and adding all the other bits, it LOOKS like theirs is approvable.
Anyone had experience with them? Anything else I should know other than when I'm ready to submit pics, I should get in touch with the Garrison Membership Liaison?
I'm bringing (dragging?) a couple friends along on this journey with me, so get ready for a whole group of Line Officers to join. Really, I want to be able to help out as a handler on the days I don't want to wear my full Mando armor. Long term, I'm also starting to print pieces of a Shoretrooper.
Anyways, thanks all! Looking forward to this!
Best,
Cyra

Hi Paul,
Gemma and I would be more than willing to help in your journey to the Imperial Officer Corp.
Cossky is...ok, but we typically recommend WampaWear uniforms as they are better constructed (if you are good with off the rack sizing).
If you haven't done so already, I would suggest joining the IOC forum: https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/

Paul, great to see that you're joining our side. Gemma & Dan are great resources. I will start a chat with you, Gemma, Dan B, so you can work together.
Reason:
Yesterday I did nothing and today I'm finishing what I started yesterday.

You all are the best! I've already gotten a million questions answered and have a great place to start.
I tried registering for the Imperial Officer forum...but I'm not getting my email confirmation to come through. Checked spam, etc. I resent it as well. Any idea why that might be happening?

Re: Merc OM Starting a 501st Costume
Sure did! The Imperial Officer forums are a great resource.
I purchased the belt buckle (will do the leather myself), rank badge, and code cylinders from Ezra Builds. She was delightful and handled a large order since it's me and three other guys who're working on the same build. Got the uniform from cossky - and after a great convo with Dan and Gemma, I'm doing v1 of the Imperial Security Officer (non-saga) as it seems like cossky's black uniform holds up much better than their olive drab when compared to other kits.
Next steps at this point? I need to find boots that don't cost a small fortune. I'll grab the Wampawear gloves, and once the uniform comes, it'll need to be tailored.
Longer(ish) term is potentially getting a holster and blaster (what's a security officer without a weapon?), but I'll probably move forward with approval before adding those two items since they're optional.

Popping in to share a couple updates...
Uniform is tailored, and I've ordered the hat, gloves and boots. I have the code cylinders and rank badge and belt already.
Also, just finished a 3D printed SE-14r. Will plan to make a holster for it as well. Check it out below.
