I actually started out by ordering my TIE armor last July. Got approved for IC (off duty TI) by October and trooped Discovery World that way.
Then got the good deal on my gunner bucket and pauldron by posting a WTB thread on the 501st boards because I knew that the TIE armor was going to be a wait. So, it's funny how I started out going for TI, ended up gunner, now I've got both.
It'd nice to have options.
Like 138 said, I'm ready to make some kills on my way to ACE now.

Don't forget about the gunner now 7skulls!! We gunners have to stick together. ..and actually get more than 2 of us at an event some day :) the Tie pilot looks great though!!! Congrats.
- that's my next project as I don't think there's anything else I could possibly do with my IG.
- Hope to see you at a troop again sometime.
- take care

Thanks, I won't .
Just packed the gunner for the two troops this weekend.
I can certainly see better in the IG!
That's big, but I want my ace too.
