HEY EVERYONE, MY NAME IS KYLE AND I LIVE IN THE SUBURBS OF CHICAGO. IM INTERESTED IN MAKING MY FIRST 501ST APPROVED COSTUME AND JOINING THE LEGION. AFTER SPENDING A FAIR AMOUNT OF TIME AT THE 501ST BOOTH AT THE RECENT CHICAGO COMICON, I HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO MAKE A CLONE TROOPER COSTUME. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START. ANY HELP FROM YOU GUYS WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS!

How old are you Kyle? The 2 main rules we have are you must be 18 and then have a movie quality costume. We can help you on your way to the second part, but not the first.

well you've come to the right place. We've got a number of clones (including myself) that are more than willing to help a new brother into the fold.

The dark knight is correct that www.clonetroopers.net is a good resource but I will admit it's a tad hard to navigate. At least it was for me when I first started.

There are a lot of things to consider such as whose armor to buy, what kind, and what's approved. Are you lookin' into creating a face character or just your standard clone. Face characters will cost more money since you'll need the peices that make them up.

Welcome aboard Kyle. Great to see another person interested in joining the ranks of the clones. Of course you will have to decide between AOTC, ROTS, or TCW. Which ever route you go just remember it takes time and ask lots of questions.

haha sorry about the caps, i didnt even realize i had them on until after i posted lol.

im 25 years old, i will be 26 in september. so the age isnt a problem, i think.

Glad you decided to be a Clone Trooper . I have been working on my Clone Armor EPIII for 2 years,and have used some of the Clone trooper.com resources pix and info to get started. I had to go to other ares of the net to get some details and do research as to construction . I have now hooked up with the MWG and have made some real good contacts here. The members really care about helping you and offer excellent info and direction to your questions.
I am proud to be a new recruit [ and hopefully a full member soon] of the 501st Midwest Garrison [Illinois] .
