Mid sized TK bucket ?

Post by TK280 »

Hey all,
While at WizWorld, TS4071 and were talking about the oversized FX buckets and how the ANH movie sized ones make the larger/taller troops look like pea heads. I have finally decided to attempt the ambitious improbable and take on a new helmet project that would crossover the two. The ANH look (1 piece back/dome, asymetric face) only 10-15% larger, yet still smaller than the FX. My biggest problem is that I don't have the FX helmet to use as reference, and i'm curious in what the circumference is at the brow. I'd really like to keep the dimensions right between the two, so if anyone would be kind enough to take a quick measure at the brow, i'd appreciate it. I'd like to start working on this within the next two weeks, so if anyone thinks this would be a futile unnessecary project, please let me know, any comments or suggestions welcome.

ref,

"any comments or suggestions"

My good natured response at 6-feet 5-inches (6-feet 7-inches in armor)
is that I might be one of those "pea heads"

Here is a ref photo from the Midwest Garrisons
Matthew Stover's Book Signing event in Oak Brook (5-19-07)

Looks good to me. Then again I'm 6'2" with an AP helmet.
