binders

Post by TK 737 »

Hell, I probably should've just emailed this to 826...

I'm going to need 1 or 2 pairs of binders for a wedding (long story--NOT MY WEDDING). I figure I might as well just make the bloody things instead of borrowing them.

So, does anybody know of a tutorial offhand? Or ref pictures or advice or 2¢ or anything? I don't need them for a couple weeks, so I have tyme. Any input would be muy appreciated. Aloha.

If this helps, At work I have PVC scraps that are cut off and thrown away ,I could grab some.
These would look like the pair that Han put on Chewie in ANH not the ones from the Vis dictionary.

All right, look, there's only one "Return," okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi!
Rule of life #7. Whatever the question, Costumes are always a good answer.

Nick, you can get free PVC scraps if you ask the guy in the plumbing department at Home Depot.

nick - just go to the hardware store, and see what size of piping would fit around your wrist (i dont mean go in and start sticking your hand in pipe, but generally take your wrist (if you wear a watch that would be perfect) and see how big around it is.. then go 1 size up diameter from that (just look and the different pipe sizes and guesstimate).. then ask for scraps that size (or just buy a piece of pipe since it is pretty cheap) and they might even cut pieces off for you..
