Sandtrooper Backpacks

Post by tk412 »

I'm making a new backpack for my armor. Here's a sneak peak of my process. Everything is bolted or screwed in.

Arturo TK412

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ...

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ...

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ...

To see the rest go here

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ... 0&res=high

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub76.ezboard.com/utk412.showPub ... Looks excellent, Arturo !

Although I'm a "Death Star-clean" trooper, I've noticed that there aren't many good reference pics of Sandtrooper backpacks.

Here's one that'll maybe help out Backpack builders, and it clearly shows the 2-part hinged design

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ...

There's also a couple more Sandtrooper pics on my photopoint account at Rare Stormtrooper Images which shows stuff like the different abs piece etc (if you can make it out under all the dirt <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> )

HTH

John TK-306
" I don't think the Empire had Wookiees in mind when they designed her, Chewie "

Thanks for that picture. it really is hard to find some shots of it.

BTW.... I found some great pieces to make a "custom" one if anyone is interested.

Just go out and buy yourself a "Boston Market" Microwave tv dinner at the grocery store. Go home and make it for supper, and clean out the container when done. Then add it to your backpack.

after a few nights of meals, you pack will be done, and you'll have gained 20 LBs and can't fit into your armor anyways, so you gotta go to the gym.

But the containers are interesting, and would work great for a custom backpack!
JoeTK171Commander
Central Garrison 501st

<img height=99 width=360 src=http://www.geocities.com/bonofl/asapbanner.jpg border=0 alt=http://www.geocities.com/bonofl/asapban ... enter><img src=http://thematrix.acmecity.com/realworld ...

I finished mine a couple of days ago just in time for my first event. I have a CD player mounted in the lower big box and two powered speakers mounted in the smaller rectangular box...it kicked ass! It is built about the same way as Arturos but I used seatbelt material to connect the two main boxes rather than a hinge...I didn't like the idea of metal hinges potentially rubbing my armor.

<img src="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1 ...
Shawn Mahood,TK/TD 1820,Garrison Titan XO,Tour of Duty:,Pacific Science Center "Astronomy Days 2001"

Chris I told you the only reason I was painting my backpack at the resturant was that I like the fumes!

actually I smacked the tube on the door frame on the way out of the house and cracked a bunch off
Shawn Mahood,TK/TD 1820,Garrison Titan XO,Tour of Duty:,Pacific Science Center "Astronomy Days 2001"
