Is your helmet fan too loud?

I've got a PC fan rigged with a swith for my helmet, but when I put it in the helmet (center, front, bottom), it seemed really loud. Is this common? Now that there is comedy. <br>Yeah, I already have foam inside the helmet, I don't what the deal is, They are just loud, maybe I got the wrong kind. They look exactly like the one's you see in people's mod photos.
