Re: ROTJ Boba Fett WIP
Thanks guys for the kind words.
Finished up the painting on my jetpack. Did the weathering & added the symbols & striping. Hand painted all of the symbols & tried to make them look as they do on the reference photos. I am finishing up the stabilizer & beacon so that these can get attached & need to add the hooks.
Touched up the paint along the edge of my back armor where I had to shorten it. I was going to repaint the whole thing but opted to just do some touching up at this time & blend things in.

I especially like the coloration of the jetpack thrusters you achieved. What color did you use?

Re: ROTJ Boba Fett WIP
Thanks for the kind words guys.
C2E2 will be my first outing as Boba Fett. All I have left is to mount the chest display lights & the jetpack attachment hooks, which will be done tomorrow.
I was going for the paint scheme on the pack that was used in on the "Star Wars the Exhibition". Couple of photos from TDH showing this paint scheme. I opted for this scheme cause I didn't like the lighter gray/white that some of the thrusters & tanks have on other jetpack paint schemes.

The color for the thruster is a mix of various paints. I painted them silver as a base, then lightly misted with slate gray, dark gray, claret wine, navy blue & black. This was all done with Rustoleum spray paints. Then used the an airbrush with a fine mist of a reddish brown & dark gray both custom mixes of Rustoleum enamels. I masked off some of the areas with liquid masking to show the silver.I especially like the coloration of the jetpack thrusters you achieved. What color did you use?

Re: ROTJ Boba Fett WIP
Finished up the flak vest putting slot in the shoulders & at the bottom of the back for the jetpack harness support. Being a MOW flak vest it opens on the side so had to make a flap at the lower back to be able to slip over the jetpack harness. Used velcro to attach the flap.
Mounted the Fettronic's display on the left chest plate. Used velcro. I did attach the 2 boards together where the LED's are so that it would stay in alignment. Used a piece of velcro that has "T" hook on it for the lower attachment & put 2 velcro straps on the top to keep it secure. Sewed a button hole in the flak vest to slip the wire through. Going to mount the battery box on my lower left side on the inside of the flak vest, going to make a velcro sling.
Attached the jetpack hooks that I got from full metal fett. Finished up my scratch made stabilizer & beacon. Got those painted & mounted.
Took longer to get the jetpack adjusted & fitted up & had to make a couple of mods. Plan to do full suit up tomorrow & take some photos.

Re: ROTJ Boba Fett WIP
Got around to adding fans to my helmet. Didn't get them till last Saturday. This is the kit from Evil Boy. The fans are pretty quiet but there is a little hum but nothing too bad. I would rather have the air circulating.
I used double lock velcro for the battery pack to keep it in position & an industrial velcro with "T" hooks that is used for hanging things on imperfect surfaces. Evil Boy does send velcro with the kit I just opted for something I thought would be more secure.
