Support requests -- titling and pruning
When a support request has been completed, I will edit the title with [RESOLVED] or [CLOSED] to indicate a completed request.
Support request threads are automatically pruned after 7 days of no activity. In most cases, if a request is resolved, it will automatically drop off as long as nobody posts to them thereafter.
Open cases also fall under this function. If I require further information in order to troubleshoot, please respond in a timely fashion. Otherwise, the request will be considered abandoned and will fall off.

With the change in web staffing over the past few months, who do we now contact to request access for new members?
Keri TB6629 still needs access to all member areas. She has asked several times but not received access yet.
There is also a new recruit that will be registering for these boards. She is not a member yet, but currently working on her TB and she has been assisting at many events as photographer/handler for the past year. It would be helpful for her to have access to the event planning areas in the meantime, and I know the garrison has granted this access to "future members" in the past. Who will she need to contact to request access to the WI and IL event planning areas?

I've asked Ed to look into Keri's situation.
TK6628 Yes 20 Nov 2007 04 Jun 2008
Keri K Yes 25 Mar 2008 04 Jun 2008
Both accounts are listed as active and are part of the MWG member's group and WIS member's group. I have no idea what is causing the problem with only the one account when both are set identically.

Yesterday there was a bit of a mixup when the redirect was set up, the end result was that there was a missing '/' which caused requests to the .com address to get mangled and not work. So instead of ging here:
http://midwestgarrision.com/forum
you would end up going here:
http://midwestgarrision.orgforum <- note the missing slash between .org and forum
More downtime and bugs have been caused by typos than I care to think about...

I've just been accepted in to the Rebel Legion and am awaiting the status saying so on here... Not sure if it's important or not...
plus I can't see the "event request" and "event planning" sub-forums now... I'm wondering if it has something to do with me posting in one of them

The "event request" forum is designated for MWG members only.
It is not our position to usurp any connections between the RL and LFL. RL has it's own chain of command and it's own system of gathering and planning larger scale events. The events listed within our event request forum mainly come down through LHQ, and are designated official communications. As such they are deemed "members only".
While it is understood that dual membership between 501'st and RL can be fairly common, official events per the LHQ request forms are delivered to 501'st members, first and foremost. It is entrusted that a 501'st member be the coordinator for a 501'st requested event.
That is not to say RL members are excluded, but they also are not entitled to the rights and privileges of 501'st members within its forums.
The "event planning" section should still be available to all RL members. These are events in which a MWG member has accepted the role of event coordinator and has initiated the standard planning procedures.
