After Ray publicly announced that he wished to be removed from the 501st Legion I reached out to him to discuss this with him. He mentioned that I could join him at Wisconsin Comic Con – he next convention – to talk about the issue. I stayed in costume at his signing area for the entire day and we spoke with him after the con. He is now again good with the 501st, but was still hurt by what someone from a different garrison said to him. At the end of the con, he thanked all 3 of us for taking the time to talk with him. After that weekend, Ray gave the 501st high praise on Instagram and Twitter.
