Not since the Battle of Hoth have Imperial Troops faced such daunting weather as they did today on the streets of Fairbury, Illinios. Sleet and freezing rain did not sway our troops from thrilling the populace who lined the streets, buildings and safe dry cars. Seven boxes of nearly frozen marshmallows found their way into the clutching frozen hands of younglings.
When all the cold and ice had been removed from their gear, these stalwart warriors in plastic had once again brought their love of Star Wars to the icy wastes of Central Illinois.
Emily and I would like to personally thank all those who braved the forecasted storm and came and participated in this event.

What a fantastic troop! One of the most rewarding aspects of membership in the 501st is meeting great new people... I had to get up at 5 in the morning, it was a long drive, and the weather was horrid, but despite all that, I had a wonderful time and I look forward to doing it again next year... Maybe I'll have another costume to wear by then so I could allow someone else to be warm in the Vader...
