On Sunday February 21st, Mimi, the little girl who touched so many hearts with her bravery during a visit at Lurie's Children's Hospital from the Midwest Garrison, had her 5th Birthday Party!
Mimi has been bitten by the Star Wars bug! She reads a Star Wars book every night and on weekends watches the movies! She IS Lord Vader! She changed her birthday party from being a Princess themed party to a Star Wars theme and the Midwest Garrison was asked to make a surprise visit.
The Garrison did NOT disappoint!
A huge thank you to Rudy Grasha, Dave Klima, Kevin Glass, Ted Ruler and Patrick Klehr for giving up their Sunday morning to make the trip downtown as well as an even bigger thank you to Steve Gaza who procured the parts and made the child's TK helmet we gave to Mimi!
Mimi's party will be a day long remembered!
