Shoes!

Post by TKvanB »

Let's talk shoes.

I am looking for a pair of fancy-looking heeled shoes in white or off-white in a women's size 5-6 (or a little smaller) for Quincy to wear with the pink diamonds costume from Moulin Rouge. I can add sparkly things to plain white fancy-looking heeled shoes.
The problem right now is that these would be more of a spring/summer season style and there are only boots and sensible shoes in the stores right now.
I don't have much time to hunt them down in second-hand and thrift stores. I basically have only one day to look for anything suitable and that is this Friday.
I looked at a payless for dyables. There were none at the one I went to tonight. There are a couple different paylesses around my neighborhood.
There is the Something Old Something New on Belmont. I have found interesting shoes in small sizes there on occasion.
Parking is such a nightmare around there though. Unless I was certain that it would be worth my while to go there, I wasn't planning on spending time in Lakeview on my one and only day to do this.
I will be going to Evanston and out to the NorthWestCentral
(Fantasy Head Quarters) If anyone has any really good ideas, please post or mail me.

I found some shoes that will be acceptable. They are sparkly white closed-toe/ankle strap little girl dress shoes that were $12. The heels are not high and I will add a fake diamond studded "T"-strap, but they will work.

I saw some 'maybes' at Bakers this evening, but they were all open-toed and slip-ons. Higher heels, but would Quincy be able to keep them on? Probably not, so these lower-heeled shoes are a little more practical.
