IL - Chicago Ridge Spirit Halloween Support October 30th, 09

Today local members of the Midwest Garrison made a visit to Spirit Halloween in Chicago Ridge to support the Star Wars Halloween costumes and Celebration V contest. We started the day in the store: greeting the guests, shaking hands, taking pictures, and handing out entry forms for the C5 promotion. After an hour or so, we moved our troop outdoors, where we were even more of a hit! We caused at least 3 or 4 traffic jams with people stopping to jump out and grab our picture!

Thanks to everyone who came out!

I think Rob Hamilton needs to add Ski to his last name. Robert Hamiltonski! That way you would create to Ski trooping squad! LOL! Great job everyone!

LOL, I thought the same thing, but didn't want to say it. Actually, my maternal side was Mrozinski. And Janine's family changed their name a generation ago from Jenjievski (or something like that), so it could have been a full on Ski Squad.

My Dad's mom was a Gorski! There's a Ski in all of us being from the Chicago area. LOL!

I'm going to send your/this MR over to LFL. Meri had asked for us to let them know how it went. Great job, everyone!

Thank you, Amie, for taking time to send this report!
I’m so glad the appearance went well, and it sounds like the customers enjoyed it quite a bit, too. Except maybe the drivers…. ;-)
Thanks again, and please pass on our thanks to the troops.

They worked very well! I actually wore them twice that day. Once for the Spirit event then again for the Tilted Kilt Troop! Thanks for the help Phyllis!
