A big thank you to Brian and Neil who joined me in adding a little imperial flair to a 7 year old's birthday party in Skokie! This was a party for my coworker's son. The kids spent the first hour playing in the playground of the Skokie Exploratorium while we got suited up, and then they settled into a party room for some pizza. That's when the Empire invaded! We surprised the birthday boy and proceeded to greet and mingle with the kids and pose for pictures.
I think you can tell by the smile on his face he was pretty surprised!!
The parents are both awesome photographers, so I have to say these are some of my favorite event pictures!
The family made a very generous $150 donation to Make A Wish for our appearance, and also gave us a $100's worth of visa gift cards to put toward the charity of our choice. I donated this money to Be The Match (http://www.match.org) and my company matched my donation x3, which will cover the cost of lab testing fees to add an additional 6-8 people to the bone marrow registry.
