IL- Hallock/61526 - Wedding Reception - Sat 11/17/12

On November 17, 2012, the Midwest Garrison surprised the guests at a wedding reception in Hallock, IL. Only two guests in attendance (the ones who invited us) knew we were going to be there to make a light saber arch for the bride and groom to walk under as they came into the reception hall. After a few photo ops, we were asked to dance the electric slide and the Casper slide with the bridal party. They were so grateful, they had already set aside a table of our own at which to sit and enjoy the dinner buffet. We were there about 4 hours.

I was sent this text the next day by one of the contacts:
"There is absolutely no possible way to even begin to express my gratitude for all that you did yesterday. I know that you are used to plenty of thank you's and small children that are sick having their worlds changed forever by your presence, but I can tell you that the small child in the groom last night was beaming and his father and mother both broke into tears of gratitude for making this such a special day. Your name will be spread oh so wide. Much love and hugs to all of you!"

The ladies who invited are still raising money at their salon to make a donation to their charity. In addition to what they are currently raising, they are adding in checks of their own to their final donation. I’ll let you know when I get the final numbers. Unfortunately, I'm still working on getting ahold of some pictures of the event, so I don't have any pictures for you either.
