IL - East Peoria - St. Jude Fundraiser Sat. 7/21/2012

Post by SL9965 »

This event turned out much better than I thought. We were posted at the corners of the town square in Washington, IL to help raise money. This was done by us simply greeting and waving to people in cars as they drove through the square. The 5K run for St. Jude's comes through this town and a lot of people stop in to see the runners go by. The first group of runners was really surprised to see us. After a break, we waited for the second group, but we unfortunately ran out of time.

This was a great event and we'll be doing it again next year!

Does that count toward our total? Not trying tip drive down our totals but the St. Jude run fundraiser was a multi-city effort. Our flash toll roads campaign raised closer to $1,000 alone which is pretty impressive for 7 people collecting money at a single intersection a few hours out of the afternoon.

Since you were asked to do this event...all $$ collected by the event are considered "indirect" funds...
and you get "credit" for the whole shebang...
which ended up to be $55,000.00

So....
nicely done!

:D

As far at the $1,000.00....
was there a bucket by you guys that $$ was put in directly to you?
If so..
it would be $1,000.00 direct
and
54,000.00 indirect...

Thats pretty awesome! Didn't know it all counted. Figured it was made up of direct funds raised. :-)

the direct
and the indirect
