Although the night started off with a bit of confusion in regards to the actual location of the event and ended with some intense storms, the Midwest Garrison "stormed" the Relay 4 life event in true 501st fashion! Because of the incoming weather, the event was relocated to the Darien Sportsplex which was a win-win for everyone seeing as the facility is air conditioned!!! Our contact, Leslie, was thrilled to have us for yet another year of pictures, awe, and entertainment all in support of the REAL troopers; the cancer battlers and survivors. It was an honor to serve this great cause.
A huge thanks goes out to all the troopers who attended:
1. Gina Martino 6216
2. Steve Gaza TK 4034
3. Steve Mammen TK 7345
4. Joe Orlando TD 6074
5. Kevin Glass TK (soon to be SL!!) 2834
Thanks to Kevin for busting out his new Darth Vader and bringing that extra "WOW" to the event!!!

Nicely done...
Relay For Life is a fantastic event/cause...
I have done many of them...and they always touch your heart...
sadness and joy...
anyway...
I will put on my official Charity Rep hat now...
I know you guys didn't do any direct fundraising..
but since you were invited to appear at this event...
all funds that were raised by this event can be recorded as indirect funds...
so
I am sure you can go to the official website for this Relay and get the total $$ raised by the event and post that here..
along with how many hours you all were there...
and...
If you can get a photo or two....that would be GREAT....I can post the information at the 501st Charity Blog..

Sadly no one in our group had the chance to shoot any pictures. I contacted the Relay rep and asked her to forward me any pictures she came across so that I may post them. We served the Relay 4 Life for just over two hours. Total funds raised for this event was $45,238!!!
I was a ble to locate a few shots from the evening's event
