The 501st hit Slackers in Alton hard on FCBD. We had 5 troopers there which was great! Last year when I did FCBD at Slackers, I was on my own.

There were people there who came specifically for us which is always exciting. One family was all dressed in Star Wars attire.

We took photos with customers as well as a group of Live Action Roll Playing warriors who were also on site doing demonstrations. I think our blasters could have taken them!

At the end of the troop, Darth Maul was mistaken as a stripper as several women stuffed bills down his tunic. They then were put into a donation bucket for the Make A Wish foundation, even though the bills were tainted.

All and all we raised $100.00 for the Stray Rescue Foundation in St. Louis. Slackers is buying a brick for a sidewalk they are doing. It'll have Slackers and the 501st on the actual brick.
