IL-Hoffman Est/60192-St.Baldricks @ Jersey's Pizza- SAT 4/14
We were invited back to Jersey's Pizza and Grill to help out with their annual St. Baldrick's event. We arrived around 4:15/4:30 and were dressed and ready to troop at 5. The event and shaving of the heads took place outside in the parking lot. The weather was perfect for this event. We took a lot of pictures with the kids and they were excited to see us. Even the grown ups were excited! At around 6:45 it was time to get back into civilian clothes again. We all stuck around afterward and had some good pizza.

Neil, do you realize you listed yourself as "gunner" instead of "TK"?

Oops! I'm getting to used to being a Gunner I guess. That's for spotting that.

lol....
I hope to get my new Gunner helmet sometime before I die - I have already been waiting 9 weeks...now they are saying 13 weeks...
Anyway...
I think you guys were invited/asked to attend this event...so
putting on my official charity rep hat...
we can claim $$ as indirect...
could you find out how much was raised by this event...
and...
how long were you guys and gals there?
It goes without saying....NICELY done!!

lol...
the cattle prod is an effective tool...
I am considering loaning it out to Scotty at the WIG as he tries to get the donation figures in for the end of the year.
I tried sending a message to Jersey's Pizza via their website and it kinda got shoved back at me...
so..
for giggles...I think I will call there tomorrow to see if I can get an answer over the phone...
and...
if not..
I will use the $300.00 figure...
Many thanks again...

I wonder if Jersey's would even know it. The event was held outside in the parking lot so maybe they just allowed use of the lot. I'll see if I can email my contact that I talked to back in March/April.

Wow!
That is fantastic!
Some of those folks who got their heads shaved must have really been fundraising their butts off....and I am sure there was probably some Corporate sponsorship involved...
good for them!
Crossing this one off and heading to the Charity Blog...
Many thanks Neil!!
