On December 10th, Autism Speaks invited the Midwest Garrison to join them for their annual night of recognition. This year was a more casual affair than in the past, held at the Royal George Theater in Lincoln Park. But no matter the setting, the night is a way for Autism Speaks to say "Thank you" to all of the people who help to make their year a success. The MWG helped out in 2013 by lending our characters to the atmosphere at
Light It Up Blue kickoff night at Millenium Park and at the big
Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Soldier Field.
Five troopers fought crazy traffic and the icy weather to make it just in time for an appetizer reception and the main program. Afterwards, we partook of the dessert reception and skipped the improv troupe's show in order to just hang out in the lobby for coffee before calling it a relatively early night.
Good times with good troopers!
