Relay For Life 2014 Mission Report
Normal Community West High School
June 21nd – June 22rd
The Midwest Garrisons “Imperial Walkers” had our best fundraising year yet. We reached Jade level teams have to raise between $10,000-$14,999 in order to reach that level
We set a goal for our 10th appearance of $10,000 and we surpassed it, raising a total of $11,506.31
The weather was great, we had an excellent spacious campsite all by ourselves.
The luminary ceremony they used glow sticks instead of the candles inside the paper bags around the track.
Overnight it was much cooler so we had a comfortable time trooping the evening / night. Saturday morning the heat and humidity were back though.
The 2014 McLean County Relay for Life was a success. It is still the number one Relay in the state of Illinois, one of the top 10 in the nation, and one of the top in the world.
The Imperial walkers were a huge hit as always posing for pictures with fans of all ages. We helped keep order at the closing of the silent auction & walking laps around the track.
