08/02/15 SUN- GCS Ballpark-Slackers Star Wars Night-Sauget

It was hot....we'll start with that.

There was a good turnout for this one. We took a lot of photos and made a lot of kids and "kids at heart" smile! We managed to last about 5 innings, but then the heat reared it's ugly head and we had to call it. Scott and I then sat at a table in the concourse with our helmets on display and we had a lot of thank you's coming through. The couple that won the 50/50 were big star wars fans and they gave us $40 of their winnings for us to donate to a charity. So we will give it to the Make A Wish when we do our annual Corn Fest event with them late September.
