We were requested to help promote a lecture put on by the College of Lake County sociology professors Maria Jose Tenuto and John Tenuto as they share their research from over 2,000 newspaper articles charting the very earliest mentions of Star Wars. Exploring, in depth, how the culture reacted & was influenced by Star Wars from 1977 until 1980. Through many stories, trivia, & rare photographs, the presentation was a fun & fascinating look at the mythology of Star Wars. This event was free to the public.
We arrived at 10:00 am to get ready & were ready to troop by 11:00 at the start of the event. We walked around mingling with the kids & adults taking photos till 1:00 pm which was prior to the lecture.
