Comments: The Indian Prairie Library is hosting its first ever PopCon - a celebration for all ages of all things popular culture related! This event will feature appearances from comic artist and writer Gene Ha, who will present on "How to Draw" and "Breaking into Comics", and comic illustrator and writer Shawn Lenore Barnes. Our PopCon will host our own Artist Alley featuring the talent of local vendors and artists. Activities will be available for all ages, including a Superhero Training academy for families, arts & crafts for youth, and adult activities that will celebrate fandoms and popular culture galore! We anticipated having the Ghostbusters visit as well.

Our PopCon will be on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 from 10am to 4pm. We are asking for a visit from 501st Legion at 12 to 4pm, but we would be flexible as well. We also listed 6 characters in our request, but we would be so happy to take whatever we can get!
Referred by: The Indian Prairie Public Library has worked with 501st Legion in the past and had a wonderful experience! The guests of our library were awestruck at the characters walking around our building and were quick to ask when the next visit would be. My department head, Amy Merda, has been in contact with Dan Quinn.

Donation: An Honorarium will be given to a local animal therapy group the library frequently partners with.
