Stay away from Star Fortress. I've always heard bad things about them. If anyone else has other information,please post about it. In my opinion, don't jump the gun on Episode 7 armor, I'm sure many other, more reputable, prop makers are working on sets now.

Home Depot for gloves? I hope you don't mean the rubber gloves. While these are accurate, they don't breathe. Your hands will sweat like crazy. I found some Under Armour gloves with a long gauntlet and they have a nice sheen,so they look like rubber.

We have a good amount of events in east central Illinois. Just watch the boards for events in places like Champaign, Bloomington, Peoria, etc.

Good luck with the rest. I've been in the same situation and I was able to get armor. It took a little longer than I hoped, but I got it.

Troops, For the second year now, we've attended this Cub Scout Meeting. This year we did a Q and A session, took the first swing at Death Star pinate's and handed out awards. Maybe a troop transport? Like the vintage Kenner toy. I think I saw something like it on a Rebels preview.
