Re: Ready for the 501st
awesome thanks!! I sent them e-mail introducing myself and the one pic above. I'm having a friend take the real deal pics (going for Centurion so I am going to get them all done at the samet time) and I just wanted to be sure they go where they need to go when it's time.

Re: Ready for the 501st
Does anyone know who to send photos to? I have e-mailed the two folks below but have yet to hear back. I am not rushing, just wanting to make sure I have the right people. I know it is volunteer based, just making sure.

Re: Ready for the 501st
So I guess I'm a bit confused. If I do not need to submit photos first, then I'm good to go. I'll full out the ap at the 501st site then go from there?

Re: Ready for the 501st
I have been to this page on the 501st site. The instructions say: I've got my costume, now what? Once you have your costume finished, you need to prepare your photos and submit your application. Your local Garrison Membership Liaison (GML) will need to verify your qualifications and will will ask fo...

Ready for the 501st
I have finally completed my armor. It has taken way longer that I thought it would, but I took a lot of time off of building in the spring and summer of last year. My wife passed a year ago Feb 7 and it was tough to get back to doing things. I am really happy with my armor. I have a TM Hero helmet ,...

Re: TM Hero Helmet build
Thanks. I sort of abandoned my armor build several months ago. I lost my wife in February and I can't get motivated. Picked it up this evening and started to mess with it and thought id check the forums. I hope to start posting pics soon. Close to done, just need strapping and fitting.

Re: Think we are going with Authentic Props!
Nice choice. I went ATA because I am CHEAP and ATA also has an awesome reputation. Should have mine in a month or less. I did go with TM for my Hero helmet because he makes the best Hero. Be sure to post your build threads here. I never get tired of seeing them and you quickly find who are the respe...

have any damaged ears or S trim lying around?
I am re-working an old Don Post trooper mask from the 80s and I am looking to put real ears on it (it used to have gray foam over rectangular holes). I drilled out the teeth (used to be solid frown with stickers) and I could use a CHEAP set of ears that you gave up on and a hunk of trim for the bott...

Re: TM Hero Helmet build
So about those ears. I like the wide profile of the Hero helmet, and I think the ears add to this, but does anyone thing they are too big? Do they stick out a bit too much? Going to disassemble soon and paint, but I may trim them down a bit when I do since they will be off anyway. thoughts???

Board attachment quota??
I seemed to have reached my "board attachment quota". Can someone tell me about this? I have some more pics for my build thread but it won't let me attach them because I reached my quota.

Re: TM Hero Helmet build
I seem to have reached my board attachment limit. I wanted to post updates and pics to this build thread but can't, even if I start a new topic. Can a moderator or post guru offer any suggestions?

Re: TM Hero Helmet build
so I forgot to add, yes, those are some big honkin' screws and washers holding this glorious thing together. I got some with the same diameter as the permanent pop rivets so if I made any mistakes I could fix it and re-drill (which actually happened) and be totally happy with it once the rivets were...

Gonna order stencils for tube stripes and paint fr...
