RT-Mod is here! Now to put it together

Finally came. Except for a bit of a miscut in the helmet, for which Rob is sending out a replacement, I am ready to get started :D

Let's see, where to screw up first :?

I'm sure I'll post a few questions as I go along

When I asked the same question here a few months ago, a couple of people PM'd, so you should get your answer soon. I believe that there is also a post at FISD/whitearmor about selling them.

Good luck

The RT-Mod armor was built for a person 6'0" and 220#. The FX should also fit you as well. In fact, with your weight, it seems (by what searching I have done) that most would fit you. The problem, as I understand it, is in the circumpherence of your arms/forearms/thighs/legs rather than height or ab...

Gluing BOTH halves of the thigh/bicep/forearm. Feasible?

While waiting on my RT-Mod to arrive ( :( ) I have been looking at several builds on here/youtube/other sites. Almost all of them talk of gluing one side of the extremity pieces and velcroing the other. It seems to me that if I am a good fit, the thigh/bicep/perhaps forearms could be glued on both s...

Ah, here it is: Grand Army of the Republic Highway Major William L. Anderson, Jr., of the U.S. Army conceived the idea of designating U.S. 6 the Grand Army of the Republic Highway to honor the Union forces during the Civil War. Based on his recommendation, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War...

Welcome :)

I'm just up U.S. Route 6 from you, which is oddly described on Wikipedia as the "Grand Army of the Republic Highway"

Question: Walmart Voice AND Radio Shack Fans ALL together?

I am trying to get together parts for the RT-Mod helmet that's coming my way. I would like to try the Walmart voice changer (4.5V) with 2 12V computer fans from Radio Shack. My question relates to how to BEST power it: -Now my simple mind is telling me I need 11 AA batteries (8 for fans, 3 for the v...

I want an FX armor kit because it is the most movie accuret Ummmmm, Welcome :) I would REALLY look at this forum and perhaps the Stormtrooper Detachment ( http://www.whitearmor.net ) before you come to the conclusion that it is the most accurate, for it is not. Certainly affordable as you said, and...

Helmet fit - Foam padding vs. Headgear ratchet vs. ???

While I'm waiting on the RT, I thought I'd ask on what people prefer in the interior fit of their helmet. I've heard of a few different ways but was wondering if anyone could add any opinion, pro/con, where to buy, etc..; or is it just a "6 of one/half dozen of the other" type of thing? Thanks in ad...

RT-Mod purchased - Next steps?

Thanks to all who responded to my earlier questions. I just pressed the button on an RT-Mod set :D Now, as I have about a month to wait, I get to go nuts thinking about all the "other" stuff I need. I am trying to assemble a suit that would get elite status (RT-Mod fits my 6'1' 215# frame, so I am a...

Good luck and happy armoring
