The Midwest Garrison is proud to honor troopers who go above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the Garrison, their fellow troopers, and the community. Troopers are nominated by their fellow Garrison-mates, and votes are cast by the Garrison at large for their choice of the Midwest Garrison Trooper of the Month.

Each honoree receives a keepsake award from the Garrison commander, including a limited "Platinum Edition" Midwest Garrison logo patch on a certificate.

Sometimes, after voting, multiple troopers may be named as "Trooper of the Month" due to the votes resulting in ties. In this case, both troopers are awarded "Trooper of the Month" and a double entry is made in the archives.

Trooper of the Month: January, 2008

Cheryl Whitaker Trooper ID: 3127 Congratulations to Cheryl Whitaker TI 3127 for January Trooper of the Month. The Raue Center for Performing Arts had worked with the MWG before and asked our assistance again as they played host to Charlie Ross and his theater production, One Man Star Wars Show. Whitaker volunteered to be event coordinator and provided her troops with another fun event in which to participate. Whitaker's ability to easily communicate necessary information and her organizational skills made her a natural choice in heading up the MWG's Trooper Buddy Program. Besides welcoming new members, Whitaker has extended the welcome to potential members and has already begun utilizing her references and resources. Thanks for all you do, Cheryl!!
