IL- Washington/61571 - Washington prom - Sat 5/3/14

Washington high school had their at the Embassy suites in East Peoria. It was a Star Wars themed prom. Some of these teens are still homeless after a tornado hit last year. So we could not resist being there. There was no less then 18 costumes and one very cute droid.

Our appearance was kept secret. On que we were led in by R2D2. There were almost as many pictures taken as there where smiles.

Washington high school wished to make a donation. Even after they were told it wasn't necessary, they are making a $200 donation to the Relay for life on behalf of the Imperial walkers. This has not yet been confermed.

All I can say is WOW!!

I really wanted to do this event and am so glad that you ended up with a great turn out!

And also amazing is the fact that they wanted to donate something to others after all they have been through!

I will hold off a bit to see if you get confirmation on the donation....
