Welcome BH 82371
Please welcome Shannon,
the very first Boushh approved through the Midwest G.
( Although she is now the second Boushh in our garrison, the first is a very recent transfer from another territory)
Shannon (and her husband Chris) have taken the term "Build your own costume" to the extreme.
From the Pepakura helmet, to the smallest greeblies, everything was created by hand.
* Even the little detail pieces, normally pulled from various model kits, were accurately built with bits of wire and plastic.

Re: Welcome BH 82371
Thank you so much for that warm welcome. My husband did all the fabrication and I did the sewing on this costume. I already have plans for at least 2 more costumes. I look forward to seeing all of you at upcoming events.

Very awesome! I have a Boushh pep that i've been working on which is currently in the early fiberglass stage. Did you use skips pep?

A lot of respect for someone who just didn't assemble an out of box kit. Great job, and good show of creativity.
Many bothans died to bring you this post...the tearing of ligaments and almost the loss of a TK's finger...
Re: Welcome BH 82371
Yes, but made some modifications to the file. By, changing the top front piece to reflect the Ferrari nose cone. Also, had to build up the top of the helmet outer shell details with filler, to show definition. Changed the up visor view port assembly and cleared that out to put the LED lights in.scrapin_frame wrote:Very awesome! This helmet was built with outer shell of card stock and cardboard reinforcement with smooth cast, instead of fiberglass...denim was used.
Thank you to all that have commented on my costume. I am very proud of it and happy to be a part of the 501st.

Welcome aboard, Shan! Great looking costume, and a very impressive work!
We met at Wizard World, but I didn't realize until later that you were an aspiring new recruit - I just thought you were visiting from another garrison!
So glad to have you with the MWG and the 501st!

No problem. Have build pics from the very beginning to the finished product.scrapin_frame wrote:I'd love to see some build pics if you have them
Which would you like to see? Just of the helmet? Since the entire costume was built from scratch. We have stage photos on all the pieces.

Welcome Shannon!
Awesome outfit!!! We also met at Wizard World. Thank you for posing for a photo with me. I was the one standing on a black pedestal and wearing a LOT of red and black body paint...
I look forward to trooping with you in the future.
Cheers,
Ted

Just thought of this, my husband did progress threads on my Boushh on the Bounty Hunters Guild forum: http://thebhg.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2739Boushh823 wrote:No problem. For those interested in my husband's ROTJ Boba Fett, here is his WIP thread on the Bounty Hunters Guild forum:

He just finished up his EE-3 blaster. It is a sight to behold.

Now tell your husband to get a move on his Fett!

Waves at Ice! Well, he is done with his EE-2 so now on to the armour for him. He has a lot of stuff ready for paint. He likes to get stuff into stages so he has more than one piece to paint at a time.iceburgh wrote:Great seeing you and your husband at Wizard. Welcome aboard!!!
