The Pack 224 Blue & Gold banquet was held on Saturday evening, 25 FEB 2012, in Oakwood, IL. The space theme was well-supported by the appearance of Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, and a Magma Trooper. A Martian invader's attempt to overtake the event was thwarted by Lord Vader. The Martian appeared and grabbed the Cubmaster's microphone just before Darth Vader and the Troopers appeared. He claimed he wasn't scared of anything in space, not Darth Vader, no Stormtrooper, nothing. But, then, the sounds of the Imperial March filled the room and Lord Vader and the Troopers appeared from a nearby stairwell. The Martian tried to run away, but was cornered by the Troopers and then dispatched by Lord Vader from about 8 feet away with a devastating force choke.
Next, Lord Vader and the Troopers oversaw the presentation of the Colors and the distribution of Awards to the worthy Scouts. Once the banquet concluded, many photos were taken with Lord Vader and the Troopers. It was a fun evening for Scouts, Scouters, and all in attendance.
