Hello Midwest Garrison, Gerald Home here, along with the other Men from Mon Calamari - Tessek-Squid Head and the Mon Calamari Officer.

I was a guest at this show way back in 2004 - it was one of the first events I ever did - and got on so well with Paul that we've kept in touch ever since. I'm thrilled to be going back for the 10th anniversary Expo.

I remember the escort the 501st gave us to our panel on that occasion - it was one of the best I've ever had - though I must say I got an impressive escort from the Italian Garrison last year too - but yours sure has stuck in my mind.

I've come across many garrisons and outposts since those early days, and worked with many of them. I'm a big admirer and supporter of the work you all do, and I'm indebted to many 501st members all around the world.

I'll post some photos soon of a spectacular event I did with the German Garrison recently, and tell you about an event I'll be doing next week with the Polish Garrison and Czech Outpost, which is also going to be amazing.

But for now I just want to say I look forward to seeing those of you who'll be in Chicago, and hopefully meet up again with some familiar faces and meet new ones.

In the meantime, I'll post some links for you in The Welcome Mat thread which I hope you'll like.

I was hoping to tell you all about a charity auction I'm thinking of, to tie in with my trip to Chicago, to benefit the Treasure Chest Foundation, but it'll have to wait as I'm off to Poland in 4 hours time, and need to catch a couple of hours sleep!

Tricon, the convention I'll be doing in Cieszyn with the Polish Garrison and Czech Outpost, is turning into an even bigger deal: I've just heard I'm invited to dinner later tonight with the mayors of Polish Cieszyn and Czech Cieszyn! Fantastic. Star Wars really is reaching across borders! And I'm thrilled to be part of it. I'll show you photos when I get back.

See you all in just over 2 weeks time.

I'd like to attend...but I still havnt finished my costume to apply for the 501st...I have my Jedi completed tho! I have a bit of ways to go to finish my sith and doubt Ill get the leather pieces completed before the expo Sad

Valissa, are you in the Rebel Legion already with your Jedi? If you talk to Jason/Invadersith (the coordinator) and have a finished costume, maybe you can still troop with us.

I am in the Jedi Assembly already, and I recieved an email today from the Rebel Legion that they needed pictures of my light saber! Hopefully I will be in the Rebel Legion this week and will be able to attend with you guys anyways!
