IL-Chgo-MSI-Wrigley Party 12-1-07
Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor freezing ice could keep members of the 501st, the Rebel Legion and the Jedi Assembly from their mission....to enhance the "Star Wars-Where Science Meets Imagination Exhibit" for the employees of the PK Wrigley Company's Christmas Party. Wrigley Company is a large contributor to the MSI and a Wrigley Exec was at one of our other trooping events at the Museum. This Wrigley employee put in a request to have us there for this party and I am happy to say "wish granted".
Boy...I think it might be pretty nice to work for Wrigley Co-what a better place to have a Christmas Party than at the Museum of Science and Industry as it is all decked out with the Christmas Around the World Exhibit...and....of course the "Star Wars" exhibit.
Huge thank to all of our participants who braved a winter storm to make it all the way in from points as far away as Rockford, Wisconsin and Indiana to make this a very special event for Wrigley Employees.

I'll echo Phyllis's sentiment thanking everyone who made it out to the museum yesterday.
THANK YOU too all of our red-shirts too!

I want to say "thanks" to everyone that participated. You guys and gals made me feel welcome...like a rebel among imperials.....wait a minute:?
I have very high hopes of joing everyone on the 15th in my own gear.
Also, this was an excellent batch of people that were at the party.
I'm still trying to figure out why I got called Yoda

I'm wanting to put a "Han Shot First" joke in here, but I won't because nobody picked on me last night.TKvanB wrote:

I wasn't there, but by looking at the group shot, I have an idea: khaki tunic, brown under shirt, green saber, and short (you are knee high to the troopers in the background). All that is missing is big ears and talking in reverse syntax, and it's Yodahopeful recruit wrote:I'm still trying to figure out why I got called Yoda
In all seriousness, good to see you @ a MWG/MWB event. Now get to aging so that it can be legit.

I was on my knees in that pic. The only one with the abilty (either bcause of age/health or mobility) to kneel besides Marlyn and Ed.
Waiting on a couple of pics from Erik. I couldn't help posing with the Clon standee....Order 66
I want to thank you and Jen for loaning me the stuff. Lemme know when you want it back and I'll try to get out to return it.

Nah, I can kneel, too. I just chose not to this time. Mobility is just one of the ways we TIE pilots are superior to the stormies.hopeful recruit wrote:I was on my knees in that pic. The only one with the abilty (either bcause of age/health or mobility) to kneel besides Marlyn and Ed.

Ref, "on my knees in that pic"
and even then I was crouching,
and in looking at some of the other pics,
...well, let's just say, I know I am tall, but still am caught up in
the look of how much taller in those photo-s that catch me standing
up (crouching a killer on my back)

lol....
I don't usually like to stand anywhere near Ed when I am in Stormtrooper....and if Erik would have worn Trooper...I certainly would
not have worn mine....
on the plus side...I only got the "Aren't you a little short" question twice on Saturday night...that ain't too bad...
And...
I am sorry that I forgot your cheater undertunic Tim....it would have added a little finishing touch to your Jedi costume...
I KNEW I was forgetting something....I remembered a lightsaber and
pouches that you ended up not needing....and forgot the one thing that you actually could have used..

Pyhllis, I told you at the event to not beat yourself up.
If it helps, I forgot to grab my underarmor top to wear under it and had to work with that stupid long-sleeved tee
I can't wait until then, either.......let's hope the driving will be better.
