Hello there! My name is Sylvie (aka Sly). I have been wanting to join the ranks of the 501st for years now, and just learned about this forum from my housemate (she posted earlier today). It's going to take me a while, but I am saving up for a sewing machine to make a Rebels Era Imperial Officer uniform so I can cosplay as Eli Vanto. Tips, tricks, and best places to find patterns are more than welcome, I would love the guidance.

In the meantime, if y'all need assistance with manning tables, set-up, take-down, etc for events/cons, please let me know if I am allowed to sign up for that. I would love the opportunity to volunteer for these types of things while I work on putting my cosplay together.

Also, if anyone in the Chicago area wants to hang out, I'm back up here for the first time in about a decade (Living in Lombard currently!) and always looking for more Star Wars friends

Welcome! Best place to start would be to join the Imperial Officer Corps. here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IOC_CRL

There should be posts in there for officer uniform patterns, etc. As for Eli Vanto, we currently don't have a CRL for this character yet. If you wanted to still build that specific costume we could work with the Detachment leaders to create a new CRL while your build is in progress.

thank you! I am definitely interesting in getting a CRL for Eli so i can cosplay as him. I was thinking this uniform (without a hat though) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Cos ... cer_rebels, as that's what he's seen last wearing in the comics, tho obviously with different pips. Hopefully it won't be a hassle to make a CRL (No idea what that entails lol).
