Hey Everyone,

My name is wesley, Im From waterloo, Illinois (In the southern Region). Recently I have gotten back into comics thanks to my buddies here in college. I am really enjoying it and would like to join the ranks for the 501st Garrison as a tie pilot or stormtrooper. I am looking for any advise on purchasing or constructing a costume.

I would like to get to know many people and have some fun as either a tie pilot or stormtrooper.

If you have time.. and can get up to them - there are 2 conventions coming up where you could talk to members in person about building a costume and joining up -

Cyphan II and Chicago ComiCon (Wizard World Chicago)..

the MWG has a booth at both conventions and if you let whomever is working the booth know that you are interested in joining, they can link you up with someone on the spot who can talk to you about how they built there armor and what to do to get yourself started.

I live near Champaign and I'm glad to hear that you're interested in the Legion. We need more southern Illinois troops. A few of us in central Illinois (Champaign, Bloomington, Peoria, etc.) are talking about having an armor party soon. I'll post the event as soon as I know more. This party will be for all types of costumes, not just plastic armor.

The links that James provided are good places to start. Be sure to stay away from ebay for stormtrooper armor. You'll pay too much and you don't always know what you're getting.

Also, stormtroopers are way cooler than TIE pilots... Right Jim?
