NOTICE: Amendment to Stormtrooper CRL

Post by Fleetfang »

Update to all that are working on Stormtrooper style armor:

The LMO and the Detachment Leader for the 501st Stormtroopers have revised the base standards for the TK to add this:

"Note: The helmet is accurate in detail and proportion to official references.
Many commercially available helmets or those considered disproportionate in size or shape are ineligible."

In short, from what I have been told from the powers that be, this covers all the Stormtrooper helmets that are made by these names: Rubies, Don Post, Altmanns, Marco, FX/GT style helmets, and any other off-brands that have been based on any of these styles.

So if you are one of the ones working on a a helmet that is from one of these makers or styles they are now ineligible for 501st approval.
Please note: IF YOUR STORMTROOPER HAS ALREADY BEEN APPROVED, THESE OLDER HELMETS ARE STILL ALLOWED AT EVENTS. Existing approved suits are "grandfathered in."

If you have any questions, please contact your local GML, Damian Jorgensen at tk826@comcast.net, or visit the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/
